Friday Update

Last week was a whirlwind of exciting conversations and big steps forward for climate adaptation in Canada!

I had a fantastic time at the Adaptation Plenary Meeting in Vancouver, where I got to connect with an incredible group of people working on climate adaptation across the country. Huge thanks to NRCan for hosting such a valuable event!

The next day, I was in Victoria at the BC Legislature, where my colleagues Jane Zhang, Riddhi Gupta, and I had the opportunity to present the CanAdapt platform to Minister Brittany Anderson. It was great to share our work, and we were thrilled to hear Minister Anderson give CanAdapt a big shoutout in the legislature later that day!

This week has been all about code—I’ve been deep in development alongside Blaine Cook, working on key updates to the platform. We rolled out an early version of translations and made a big improvement to the overall user interface.
